With its combined auditory and visual stimulation, this series of videotapes and
accompanying booklets provides an excellent practice format for patients with neuromuscular
disorders. Patients with apraxia or dysarthric type involvement find this series
of exercises and word/phrase drills of increasing complexity very beneficial. Both
patients and their families will appreciate the availability of this resource to
be used at home. The videos were designed to help improve the mobility, strength,
and coordination of the patient’s speech musculature. Although the production section
is lengthy, it is organized to provide many "mini" sessions. These tapes promote
independent practice between sessions and are an excellent resource for a carryover
program upon a patient’s discharge from therapy.

Working with More Words on Your Own (75 minutes)
Speech production practice includes 434 multisyllabic words focusing on compound
words ( 2 and 3 syllables), multisyllabic words( 2,3,4 syllables) , and consonant
blend combinations. Also includes oral exercise review.
