Here is a workbook with excellent, large print reading materials for the adult or
older child that are more advanced than the stories in Volume 1. These stories are
both practical and informative, and they relate to everyday experiences or are factual
with high interest. This makes therapy more pertinent to a patient’s daily living
and thus more motivating.
These materials also have an application for a patient needing exercises for attention/concentration
difficulties, immediate recall of new information, or visual field neglect.
With their own copy of the workbook, patients are able to practice regularly between
sessions. Progress is then more readily visible as they advance to the lengthier,
more complex stories, eventually attempting some of their previous reading interests.
Workbook sections include:
- Thinking About Words
- Following Directions
- Who/what
- Stories in Part
- Short Stories—General/Factual
- More Stories
