At the Justin T. Rogers Care Center, there are a variety of unique opportunities
for permanent recognition of loved ones, friends, and organizations.
The Justin T. Rogers Care Center is situated on 16 wooded acres in Copley Township.
It has many courtyards, gardens, trees, a pond and a creek which provide a serene
setting and an environment of peace and tranquility. Many of these special amenities
honor the memory of loved ones or pay special tribute to the achievements of people
and organizations.
A special feature on the grounds of the Justin T. Rogers Care Center is the
brick memory walk(secured
online form). A brick path extends from the Care Center and winds down to the pond,
past the Gardens of the Senses and Peace Creek. With the continual development of
the Care Center grounds, the walk will extend to other areas. The memory walk is
available to all who wish to find peace and hope reflected in the beauty of nature.
The walk is wide enough for patients in wheelchairs to travel along the pathways
so that they too can enjoy the gardens and grounds for meditation, prayer, and solitude.
Continuing the Hospice spirit of caring, the memory walk features inscribed bricks
donated as memorials in memory of loved ones or as gifts in honor of special events
or people still living.
A special brick memory walkway is located in the Veteran’s Remembrance Garden
which
was created to honor all U. S. war veterans. The garden includes a brick memory
walkway with planting beds surrounding a flagpole. Veterans living and dead can
be memorialized in this garden.
All engraved bricks are double the size of an ordinary brick and feature the name
of the person being remembered, which gives a special, standout look to the walk.
The minimum donation for each engraved brick is $250. Engraved bricks may be ordered
at any time throughout the year and will be placed into the walkway in late spring
and late fall. A dedication ceremony is held for family and friends to visit and
view the new additions to the memory walk each year.
Specially selected trees providing shade and enhancing the natural beauty of the
Hospice grounds offer another option for remembering a loved one. Trees will be
planted individually or in groups when the season permits and are available for
$1,800 each. Call the Development Office at the Justin T. Rogers Care Center to
discuss this option. (330-665-1455 or 1-800-335-1455).
Vibrant, spectacular gardens dedicated in loving memory of patients and friends
of Hospice enhance the grounds. These small, niche gardens surround the Justin T.
Rogers Care Center, flow along the creek bed, and outline the edge of the woodlands.
Each new garden provides a unique setting for recognition to a special person, family
or organization. These gardens will be designed individually by the Hospice landscape
architect and will receive tender, loving care from the Garden Curator and wonderful
community volunteers. The minimum donation for a Hospice garden is $8,000. Please
call the Development Department to make arrangements for this option.
