Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service Volunteer Receives Youth Award
(Akron, OH – August 31, 2010) Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service (VNS) Volunteer Ricky Cutlip, of Fairlawn, received the “Youth Appreciation Day Award” from the Breakfast Optimist Club of Akron at an awards ceremony held on August 5 at the Martin University Center in Akron. This honor is presented to area youth each year who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the area, their schools, themselves and their families. Four other area teens were honored as well. Mr. Cutlip has been devotedly playing the piano for hospice patients and their families at the Hospice of VNS Care Center in Fairlawn for 3 years. He is a freshman at Copley High School.
